OnlyFi - Chat & Share ("we", "our", or "the app") is a peer-to-peer messaging application that enables direct communication between devices on the same local WiFi network. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information.
Information We Do NOT Collect
OnlyFi is built on the principle of zero data collection. We do not:
- Collect or store your personal information on any servers
- Track your location or movements
- Access your contacts or address book
- Collect analytics or usage data
- Use any third-party tracking services
- Store your messages, photos, or files on cloud servers
- Create user accounts or profiles
How the App Works
OnlyFi operates entirely on your local network:
- Device Discovery: The app uses your local WiFi network to discover other devices running OnlyFi. This happens entirely within your network.
- Direct Communication: All messages, photos, files, and voice messages are sent directly between devices without passing through any external servers.
- Local Storage: Your chat history and received files are stored only on your device.
Permissions We Request
The app requests certain permissions to function properly:
- Network Access: Required to discover devices and send/receive messages on your local network.
- Location (WiFi Only): Android requires location permission to access WiFi network information. We only use this to display your current WiFi network name and discover devices. Your location is never transmitted or stored.
- Camera: Optional, only used if you choose to take and send photos.
- Microphone: Optional, only used if you choose to record voice messages.
- Storage: Required to save and access received files and photos.
- Notifications: Optional, used to alert you of new messages.
Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your device:
- Chat messages are stored in a local database on your device
- Received files are saved to your device's storage
- No data is ever uploaded to cloud servers
- You can delete all app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device settings
Data Security
Since all communication occurs on your local network:
- Messages are transmitted directly between devices
- Communication is limited to devices on the same WiFi network
- No data passes through external servers that could be compromised
Children's Privacy
OnlyFi does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app does not collect personal information from any users.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

Your Rights
